For a fast food restaurant I’m impressed with level of service with a smile, the cleanliness of the facilities and the good quality of the teen burger meals that we had. The washroom facilities were very clean which is a good sign of general maintenance! I also was glad of the high rate of air exchange as exhibited by the air conditioning which was set quite high. Very important in this time of Covid! (July 2022)

Enjoyed our burgers, onion rings, and root beer of course. The restaurant appears relatively newly renovated. It was clean and airy. Maybe the nicest A&W in Victoria.

The onion rings are next level — perfectly crispy, golden, and not greasy at all. Easily some of the best in town. What really stood out was the attentive and friendly service. Staff were welcoming, quick, and genuinely seemed to care that customers had a great experience. Other reviews mentioned consistent food quality, generous portions, and a clean, relaxed setting — and I’d agree with all of it. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and delivered with care. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Whether you’re grabbing a bite or a quick snack, this place hits the mark every time

Updated review: Recently renovated, the new look is more open and feels bigger. Small booths at the front allow privacy while more tables in the other section are less hidden than in the previous layout. One thing I really thought was cool was, rather than going to the washroom, you can just wash your hands right in the main part of the restaurant. They have sinks and soap right there! This is great sanitary option before you eat and great after you'e been hand-eating onion rings or a burger etc. This is my "go-to" location. It's centrally located in the so-called "Shelbourne Valley". Staff are friendly and the food is good. My latest meal was consistent with other A & W locations. I would give five stars but the table I sat at was a bit grotty. I suggest more frequent attention to the tables. Other than that it's all good.

Am commenting on the state of the family washroom. Toilet paper dispenser empty and broken. To be fair paper was provided on the back of the toilet. Faucet was loose. The other washroom was out of order. Smashed window boarded up at the front of the venue. Service great and good. Hope the washroom situation gets sorted out.

It’s my first time coming to this A&W. A bit surprised to see a clean and well kept restaurant in such a busy location these days. The quality of food is good. Hot and fresh, especially my English muffin. Always love their organic coffee, freshly brewed all the time. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come to this location more often. Highly recommend it.

A&W Canada has consistently been one of the cleanest and most well-maintained fast-food restaurants I visit. Every time I walk in, the dining area, counters, and beverage stations are spotless, which immediately creates a positive impression. The staff keeps everything organized, and the environment feels welcoming and comfortable. Their food quality is also excellent — always fresh, well-prepared, and served at the right temperature. I especially appreciate that their drinks are routinely served in properly chilled cups, which makes a noticeable difference in taste and overall experience. However, despite all these positives, there is one issue that continues to affect my overall rating: the take-out service. Almost every time I order through the take-out window, I experience some sort of problem, whether it’s missing items, delays, or small mistakes in the order. While the dining experience inside the restaurant is consistently great, the take-out service doesn’t match the same standard yet. I truly hope this is something the management can improve soon, because everything else about this location is outstanding. If the take-out process becomes as smooth and reliable as the in-store service, this place would easily deserve a full five stars.

Always fresh and done well. Better than most fast food visits.
